In Karnal, Haryana, a mob of Hindu extremists beat the driver of a pickup truck and damaged the vehicle over allegations of transporting beef. In Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, cow vigilantes vandalized a truck that was found transporting cattle.

Christians face police complaints over allegations of forced conversion

In Udaipur, Rajasthan, Hindu residents filed a police complaint against local Christians over baseless allegations that they were forcibly converting Hindus to Christianity. 

In Damoh, Madhya Pradesh, police registered a complaint against a Christian-run school for allegedly teaching students the Bible. D.C.-based human rights group International Christian Concern named India among the top 10 countries persecuting Christians in its 2023 Persecutors of the Year Report.
