Seeking Endorsement for Letter to Joseph R. Biden
Greetings,
Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC), Hindus for Human Rights (HfHR) and other human rights organizations are writing a letter to the United States President Joe Biden urging him to disinvite India’s Hindu supremacist prime minister Narendra Modi to the White House as State Guest.
Modi has been widely condemned for his administration’s attack on civil and political liberties, human rights, and religious freedom, and the US Government must not legitimize him by giving him the honor of being a State Guest.
The Modi Administration has presided over India’s descent into authoritarianism, with mob lynchings, extrajudicial killings, wrongful arrests and incarceration, torture, and demolition of homes and places of worship of minorities, among others.
