Muslim tutor harassed, forced to chant “Jai Sri Ram” in Uttar Pradesh
A Muslim tutor was harassed by Hindu supremacists while he was visiting a student for private tuition in BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad.
Upon realizing that the teacher was Muslim, other residents of the housing complex demanded that he chant “Jai Sri Ram” aloud and forced him to get off the elevator. He was also forced to leave the building without taking class.
Sikh driver assaulted by cow vigilantes in police presence
In Punjab’s Mansa, Hindu extremist cow vigilantes abused and assaulted two truck drivers for transporting cattle, in the presence of police officials. In particular, the extremists abused the Sikh driver, calling him “progeny of Muslims”.
In a similar incident in BJP-ruled Gujarat’s Mahesana, three Muslim men were brutally beaten by cow vigilantes while passing through a village with their cattle.
Hindu militants interrupt Islamic sermon, falsely claim Bangladeshis attendance
In Maharashtra’s Mira Bhayander, Hindu militants from the Bajrang Dal interrupted an Islamic sermon, falsely claiming that people from Bangladesh were in attendance. Despite police officials firmly denying the allegations, the sermon was cut short as the Hindu militants continued to heckle and protest outside the venue.
Hindu extremists, BJP leaders and even federal ministers have been delivering anti-Muslim hate speeches while referring to Bangladeshis as “infiltrators” and spreading false propaganda against them.
