IAMC condemns vandalism of Indian Consulate in San Francisco
Washington, D.C. (July 4, 2023) – The Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC) has strongly condemned the recent acts of vandalism and attempted arson targeting the Indian Consulate in San Francisco.
According to Reuters, the miscreants tried to set fire to the consulate over the weekend, which was quickly extinguished by the San Francisco Fire Department.
“We denounce any form of violence or destruction that undermines the principles of peace, unity, and respect for diplomatic institutions,” said IAMC Executive Director Rasheed Ahmed.
We urge law enforcement agencies to thoroughly investigate this incident and bring the perpetrators to justice. Acts of violence and destruction have no place in our society, and those responsible must be held accountable for their actions.
