In Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-ruled Gujarat’s Vadodara, Hindu residents of a housing complex gathered to demand the construction of a wall separating them from a Muslim-majority neighborhood.
Hindu supremacist leaders have been peddling anti-Muslim conspiracy theories to stoke fear and hate against Muslims. Last week, in Vadodara, Hindu militant group Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Jaydeep Patel delivered a hateful speech peddling conspiracy theories of “love jihad” and “land jihad.”
Seven Afghan students asked to vacate hostel weeks after Hindu extremist attack
In BJP-ruled Gujarat’s Ahmedabad, Seven students from Afghanistan have been ordered to vacate their hostel rooms immediately – weeks after a mob of over 200 Hindu extremists violently attacked Muslim foreign students while they were offering taraweeh prayers at their university hostel.
The students have not received any compensation from the university for the property damage and distress they incurred during the attack.
“Some students’ motorcycles were broken and some of them sustained injuries. Who will pay for our loss?” one student asked. “The district administration only called us once to take our statements and no action has been taken against the 200 people who attacked us while praying. The university is taking action against us only.”
Cow vigilantes assault men over cattle transport, harass Muslim passersby
In Cuttack, Odisha, Hindu extremist cow vigilantes brutally assaulted and injured two men over allegations of transporting cattle. Two Muslim men who were passing by in an autorickshaw were also attacked by the Hindu extremists who forced them to chant “Jai Sri Ram,” a Hindu supremacist warcry commonly associated with mob lynchings.
Hindu militant mobs have increasingly been targeting Muslims over baseless accusations of committing crimes. These mobs, also known as cow vigilantes, attack and often lynch Muslims accused of transporting cattle or consuming beef.
Police open fire at alleged “cattle smugglers,” victims sustains bullet wound
In BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh’s Kushinagar, police fired gunshots at two alleged “cattle smugglers,” who sustained bullet injuries in their legs.
The incident is the latest in an ongoing trend of violent attacks against predominantly Muslim cattle traders by law enforcement. Over the last few months, multiple such injuries have occurred due to police firing.

In Purnia ad Nawada, Hindu supremacist influencer Gautam Khattar stoked fear and hate against Muslims and Christians by misquoting religious scriptures.
In Beawar, Rajasthan, a leader of the Hindu militant group Vishwa Hindu Parishad indulged in fear mongering to stoke anti-Muslim hatred.
