Hindu minors strip, film 11-year-old Muslim boy, force him to say Jai Shri Ram
An 11-year-old Muslim boy was stripped and forced to shout Hindu religious slogans by three Hindu minors in the Hindu supremacist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-ruled Madhya Pradesh state.
The Hindu minors lured the Muslim boy to a secluded area near a pond under the guise of buying toys. From there, they stripped him and forced him to chant Hindu religious slogans like “Jai Shri Ram,” or “Glory to Lord Ram.” The Hindu minors also filmed the disturbing incident and circulated it on social media.
The Muslim boy managed to escape and subsequently inform his family, who then filed a complaint with the police. Despite the fact that they had stripped and filmed a child, the three Hindu minors were later granted bail from the police station.
References to prominent Muslim freedom fighter and academic, erased from textbooks
Amid the Hindu supremacist BJP government’s ongoing efforts to erase Muslim history from textbooks, all references to a prominent Muslim freedom fighter and India’s first education minister, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, were erased from 11th-grade political science textbooks.
India’s federal body for educational research also removed a paragraph stating that Jammu and Kashmir had acceded to India on the condition that it would remain autonomous. The move is a blatant attempt to hide the fact that the Modi regime stripped Kashmir of its autonomy and placed it under brutal military control in 2019.
These new revisions come after textbooks removed facts related to the violent history of the prominent Hindu paramilitary group Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and sections. Also removed were passages about democracy, the history of the Muslim-ruled Mughal empire, and the 2002 anti-Muslim pogroms in Gujarat state under Modi’s rule as Chief Minister.
Hindu militants arrested in brutal mob lynching case
Police in Haryana state arrested two out of eight Hindu militants who are wanted for the horrific mob lynching of two Muslim men, Junaid and Nasir, who were murdered under false suspicions of cow smuggling.
The two murderers, Monu Rana and Gogi, are affiliated with a number of Hindu militant groups, including the violent Bajrang Dal and the Haryana Gau Raksha Dal, a cow vigilante group.
Junaid and Nasir were abducted by the Hindu militants and brutally beaten after the mob accused them of cow smuggling. The two were then taken to a local police station, where the militants demanded that the police take action against the victims. When the police refused to intervene despite seeing the condition of the two men, the militants murdered Junaid and Nasir and torched their bodies in a car.
