A mob of Hindu extremists from the militant groups Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) attacked Christians during a prayer service at a church in the capital city of Delhi, raising slogans of “Jai Shree Ram” (Glory to Lord Ram) and calling for India to be turned into a Hindu nation. Armed with swords and sticks, the mob injured several worshippers, including women, some of whom reported that the mob attempted to tear off their clothing. Bibles were also vandalized.

A known associate of Hindu supremacist BJP leaders, Narsinghanand has an ongoing track record of making vitriolic anti-Muslim hate speeches and supporting other extremists who called for the genocide of two million Muslims.
