Hindu extremist says India must learn from China’s genocide of Uyghur Muslims
A Hindu supremacist leader, Dhananjay Desai, delivered an anti-Muslim hate speech at an event in Maharashtra state. He also called for a genocide of Indian Muslims by saying that India should learn from China’s genocide of Uyghur Muslims. Desai is also accused of the lynching of a Muslim man, Mohsin Shaikh.
Muslim man brutally beaten over interfaith relationship
In Hindu supremacist BJP-ruled Uttarakhand state, a group of Hindu extremist goons brutally thrashed a Muslim man over his interfaith relationship with a Hindu woman. Hindu militants are known for violently policing interfaith relationships and interactions between Muslim men and Hindu women, resulting in Muslim men being publicly attacked, arbitrarily arrested, and sometimes lynched to death.
134 houses in Muslim-majority area demolished in Uttarakhand
Officials of Hindu supremacist BJP-ruled Uttarakhand state’s Nainital city demolished 134 houses, mostly owned by Muslims in the Raja Mahmudabad area, claiming that the structures were built on encroached land. Last month, Hindu militants in Uttarakhand had called for a mass expulsion of Muslims from the state.
Two historic mosques to be demolished in Delhi
Officials from the Indian Railways have issued a notice to the administration of two historic mosques in the capital city of Delhi, asking them to voluntarily demolish the places of worship, failing which they would be demolished by the government. The mosques’ committee has pushed back, saying that both the Bengali Market Masjid and Takiya Babbar Shah have stood for hundreds of years and hold immense historical and cultural significance.
Dalit man’s face smeared with human excreta
A Dalit man in Hindu supremacist BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur district was smeared with feces on his face and body by a Hindu supremacist. Disturbingly, the incident occurred weeks after a video surfaced on social media showing an upper-caste Hindu supremacist, linked to the BJP, urinating on a tribal man in Sidhi district.
1-month-old baby dies in Rohingya sub-jail, parents attend funeral in handcuffs
A Rohingya refugee couple were brought in handcuffs for the funeral of their 43-day-old baby who died in sub-jail in Jammu. Around 271 Rohingya refugees, including 144 women and children, are currently being held in sub-jails.
Hindu militants forcibly close Muslim-owned eatery in Himachal Pradesh
Members of Hindu militant groups Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal forcibly closed a roadside eatery owned by a Muslim man for serving halal meat in BJP-ruled Himachal Pradesh state.
Earlier this month, serial hatemonger and Hindu supremacist leader Kamal Gautam threatened violence against Muslims, urging Hindus to economically boycott Muslims and not indulge in any trade with them.
