India’s Designation as CPC
nternational Christian Concern is hosting an event on the concerning state of religious freedom in India. The event will bring together a variety of experts on India’s religious minority communities and will consider what can be done in Washington, D.C. to ensure every Indian can practice their faith freely.
The event will consider the role of the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom and their annual report highlighting countries of particular concern. This year’s report, to be released later this month, is an opportunity to champion the cause of India’s religious minorities and highlight the damage done by radical Hindu nationalism as aided and abetted by the top levels of the Indian government.
Speakers will include International Christian Concern’s Matias Perttula, Rasheed Ahmed of the Indian American Muslim Council, and Sunita Viswanath from Hindus for Human Rights.
