Dalit student, Muslim man forced to chant “Jai Shri Ram” during mob attacks
In Bidar, Karnataka, a 17-year-old Dalit student was assaulted by Hindu extremists and forced to chant “Jai Shri Ram” after posting a WhatsApp status featuring images of Hindu deity Ram and social reformer B.R. Ambedkar. The assailants reportedly took offense, claiming the victim was “belittling Lord Ram.”
In Chapra, Bihar, a Muslim man was assaulted by a group of Hindu extremists and forced him to chant “Jai Shri Ram.”
Two arrested in Kashmir for social media posts on Babri Mosque
Police in Jammu and Kashmir arrested two individuals for making comments on social media about the demolished Babri Masjid and the inauguration of the Ram Temple on the mosque site. Earlier this week, police in Kerala state booked a 62-year-old Muslim activist, Muhammad Salim, for holding a one-man protest against the demolition of Babri Mosque.

In Ajmer, Rajasthan, cow vigilantes led by Hindu extremist leader Jasveer Singh Kharwa assaulted two Muslim drivers for transporting cattle. Recently, two Kashmiri truck drivers were harassed and assaulted by cow vigilantes over allegations of transporting beef, in Ludhiana, Punjab.
