Muslim men paraded for alleged cow slaughter, forced to chant police praises
In Damoh, Madhya Pradesh, police paraded 11 Muslim men accused of cow slaughter, forcing them to chant, “Cow slaughter is a sin; the police are our father,” while Hindu extremists shouted “Jai Shri Ram” and called for their hands to be chopped off. Inside the court premises, lawyers attempted to assault the accused.
Cow vigilantism, which is regularly carried out by Hindu militants across India, has led to normalized attacks on Muslims across India.
Police, Hindu militants raid and loot Christians at prayer meeting
In Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh, members of the Hindu militant group Bajrang Dal joined police in raiding a Christian prayer meeting, accusing attendees of forcing Hindus to convert to Christianity. They seized bags, purses, and mobile phones, presenting the Bible as “evidence” of conversion. Several Christians, including the pastor, were detained.
